This Japanese actress is one of my favorite action heroines ever who plays in many action movies in the 80's and 90's.

Birth Name: Yukari Tsumura

Born: 31-01-1963,
Birthplace: Fukuoka City
Country: Japan

She grew up in Fukuoka City with her mother who runs a little restaurant, after her parents divorce during her elementary school time. She married with Hong Kong actor Mark Cheng in 1991 and the marriage lasts until their divorce in 1995. She had also an relation with Hong Kong actor Phillip Ko, but the time period is unknown. She studied at the junior high school and the elementary school. She studied physical education at the Nippon College of Health and Physical Education for Women.


She has real martial arts background what a difference is between her and other action women. Those women follow a few martial arts lessons for their role in action movies. She started with karate (goju ryu) as teenager who has a 8th degree black belt. She has karate talents and is expert in the use of traditional martial arts weapons. She fights in the karate circuit and represented Kyushu in several competitions. She won also the women national karate championship after a while.


The action movie "Young Master" (1980) inspires her to work as stunt woman in her time at the Nippon College of Health and Physical Education for Women. She joins the ''JAC'' (Japan Action Club), which is the training school of Sonny Chiba for aspiring martial arts movie actors and stunt performers. She moves to the Philippines to play in director Phillip Ko movies in 1992, after her divorce of actor Mike Cheng. She decides to change her name in "Ôshima" and changed her name for the second time in "Cynthia Luster" during her stay in the Philippines.


Her martial arts background and stunt skills are the perfect combination for a action movie career.

She made her action debut as courageous kung fu maiden who rescues her father and sister out the hands of the evil sorcerer (played by Hsiao-Lao Lin) in ''Kung Fu Wonder Child'' (1986).


She plays an samurai next to Olivia Cheng, Biao Yuen, Rosamund Kwan and Sammo Hung Kam-Bo in "Millionaire's Express" (1986).


She plays an Japanese undercover cop who works as fighter for the gang of gangster boss Yamashita sensei (played by Yasuaki Kurata) in ''Book Of Heroes'' (1986). 


She plays female kung fu killer Madame Sue who is hired by drug lord Saijo (played by Hideki Saijô) for an amount of 10 million Swiss francs in "Iron Angels" (1987). Madame Sue gets the job to kill the three angels (played by Moon Lee, Alex Fong and Elaine Lui).


She plays the boss of a female kidnappers gang who is hunted by the seven kung fu kids in the second instalment of the Lucky Seven Kung Fu Kids series ''Lucky Seven 2'' (1989).


She plays Mon Ta Yee-Wa who seeks revenge against drug overlord Yan Yu-Yiang (played by Simon Yam), who has killed her fiancee in ''Final Run'' (1989).


She plays Chau Siao-Tao in this story where a patriarch is whacked by his brother Chau Hsiong (played by Ko Chuen-hisang) in ''Burning Ambition'' (1989). Chau gets troubles when he is hunted by the family of the patriarch. He calls help of his surviving son Chi-shau (played by Frankie Chan) who lives somewhere in Europe. She plays Kitty Li in this story about cop Cheung Kai-Wah (played by Simon Yam) who has just been released from jail, after serving some years in ''Framed'' (1989). He claims that he is innocent of all charges and that he is "framed". He tries to find the responsible people, while he does everything to clear his name.

She risks the death sentence now, after an earlier escape attempt has failed. She becomes friends with a woman in prison, when they make plans to escape. The girls flee to the border on foot and both fight a series of battles with the following militia, who are killed one by one when they are hunted by the army. The girls manage to escape and take revenge on the men who have betrayed her in Hong Kong.

She plays female police officer Tequila in this story about the exploits of car thieves James (played by Frankie Chan) and Bond (played by Siu Chung Mok) in "The Outlaw Brothers" (1990). Both thieves are hunted by agent Tequila who is determined to catch them.

Their uncle becomes angry when he notice that they betrayed him. He sent an assassin to kill them while the sisters are defending them self with help of their new friends.

She plays Bullet whose girlfriend May is kidnapped by notorious gangster Chin Bo (played by Wong Chi-yeung) after stealing some gems from him in "Angel Terminators II'' (1991). He demands the stolen gems back in exchange for her freedom. She teams up with Chitty (played by Moon Lee) and police officer Big Aunt (played by Sibelle Hu) in order to rescue her.


She plays in this story where a Hong Kong top detective his kung fu skills uses to hunt on criminals in ''Guns of the Master Killer'' (1991). 


She plays an police commissioner who gets help of an ghost during a murder investigation in ''Spiritually a Cop'' (1991). An man who pretends as cop died during a arrest attempt and is back now as ghost, in order to help with the arrest of the robbers who have killed him.


She plays a beautiful Japanese police officer who is skilled in the art of combat in ''Hard to Kill'' (1992). She plays a police officer in this story about an cop of the Hong Kong anti-smuggling unit who travels to mainland China to retrieve some confiscated contraband in ''Lover's Tear'' (1992). His real objective though is to arrest the boss of the smuggling ring. 

She plays in this story about demons who escape from hell on a mission to devour the essence of 49 individuals of extreme masculinity or femininity in ''Devil Girl 18'' (1992).


She plays Coco in this story about May (played by Moon Lee) who has an secret affair with Wilson Tsiang (played by Lawrence Ng Kai-wah), the man of her girlfriend the though policewoman Hsie Wan-chin (played by Cynthia Khan) in ''Yes Madam' 92: A Serious Shock'' (1992). Hsie Wan-chin and her friend have plans to marry and May becomes complete crazy when she noticed that they move to England in this movie full with intriges, love and lies.


She plays together with action heroines Moon Lee and Sophia Crawford in the lead role in the martial arts movie "Beauty Investigator'' (1992). She plays a deadly hitwoman who shows that a human life is nothing worth for her.

Bullet and her collegue agent Moon (played by Moon Lee) get the assignment to stop a large criminal organization in the Golden Triangle in Southest Asia.

She plays Oshima who is sent to Hong Kong to get the painting of the Japanese officials from WWII in the action movie "The avenging Quartet'' (1992). Her girl friend Sen (played by Nishiwaki Michiko) wants the painting also and helps her. Oshima and Sen meet Chin (played by Chynthia Khan) and Feng (played by Moon Lee) later in the movie. The four women decide to work together and it's time to clean the streets of thugs.


She plays Mrs. Wang who works for an crime syndicate in the martial arts movie ''Kickboxer's Tears'' (1992). Li Feng (played by Moon Lee) swears revenge against the responsible person who has killed her brother (who works for a crime syndicate) in a kickboxing battle.


She plays detective Mok Yu Xia who is kidnapped and held hostage by a Mainland agents team named The Golden Corps, led by Golden Corps Agent 001 (played by Waise Lee) in ''The Direct Line'' (1992). Mok Yu Xia tries to escape from the force and fights for life and death.

She plays police officer Yi Chian who is in charge of a special task force together with police officer Feng Shiu (played by Lam Wai) in ''Drugs Fighters'' (1995). The special task force is dedicated to hunting down drug smugglers, who use hollowed-out statues to conceal their contraband.


She plays Nunez who is the leader of a futuristic fighting force named ''Ultracop'' in the sci-fi action movie "Ultracop 2000" (1995). Terrorist Zorback from outer space  arrives on earth in order to kill dozens of people, which is in violation of the treaty that outlaws aggression throughout the solar system. The.Ultracop fighting force gets the assignment to stop Zorback's nefarious plans.


She plays Annabelle Lin who has a secret affair with the bodyguard of her boss in "Lethal Girls 2" (1995). The couple kills their boss after he discovered the secret affair. They flee to Hong Kong with his cache of illegal arms, while they are hunted by Hong Kong cop David Law (played by Gordon Liu) and Interpol agent Sophie Lawton (played by Sophia Crawford).


She plays Hong Kong undercover cop Heung Lan who investigates weapons smuggling in ''Power Play'' (1995). She provokes the smugglers, by intercepting several weapon shipments in Hong Kong. Rambo-like Manila cop Ray (played by Phillip Ko), is on mission in Hong Kong in order to search for his girlfriend Lina. An weapon smuggler kills Lina and Heung Lan meets Ray during her investigation. He teams up with her in order to stop the weapon smugglers.


She plays an Interpol agent whose team hunts on international drug smugglers in ''Guardian Angel'' (1996).


She plays Jane Nakamoto who is the mother of a young woman in ''Tapang sa tapang'' (1997). Her daughter takes her father's business over, after he is murdered. Detective Dante Parcon (played by Lito Lapid) helps her to find out that her father's business was used as cover for arms smuggling. Both decide to defeat the smugglers in order to take revenge for her father.


She plays in this story about brother and sister Siu-Tong (played by Billy Chow) and Chee-Loy (played by Cynthia Khan) who have problems with local gangsters in ''Super Cops'' (1997). They meet Interpol agents, when they are threatened by the gangsters. The agents wants their assistance in trapping the bad guys during a triad banquet gathering.


She plays Butterfly who is hired by her best girl friend Sally (played by Cynthia Khan),  to protect her businessman father in ''Tiger Angels'' (1997). She can't prevent that the father is kidnapped for ransom. Both girls go deep into the tiger's den in order to fight the gangsters with the plan to save her father.

Yang Zongbao (played by Richie Jen) is the last of a long line of Song generals, who is killed. His widowed wife Mu Guiying (played by Cecilia Cheung) leads other widows into battle to save their dynasty. She and the other wives of the deceased fighters are though amazons who defend their dynasty, till the last woman is defeated.


Her action movie character is portrayed in the documentary ''Top Fighter II: Deadly China Dolls'' (1996). This is the sequel of the documentary "Top Fighter" (1995) and portrays the biggest action heroines ever. The documentary shows behind the scenes with TV footage and interviews with several heroines in short clips. The documentary let the people see how she begins as upcoming action heroine and ends as real action movie superstar. The most beautiful and well known female fighters are playing in this female martial arts show.
